This touring production was created with
the support of a Fulbright Senior
Specialist grant in Theatre. Fugard's
modern classic-- written in the South
Africa of Apartheid was part of the
nonviolent movement for justice and the
transformation of that country.
Two cell mates confront their absurd
existence in a prison, in which arbitrary
power holds sway.
